Lonestar Adventure Sports

Established in 2015, we but had to wait a year to open due to massive flooding on Grapevine Lake. We officially opened in the 2016 season and have been serving the North Texas area with fun, safe and affordable paddlesport adventures ever since!

Peter and Rose Demopoulos are a married couple that co-founded this company together. You'll see them around the park, say hi!

20+ years of Paddlesport Experience

Peter was a Whitewater Guide on the Gauley River, WV. This is a Class V rapid called "Insignificant".

Safety is Key. Once you are Safe you can have Fun!

All of our Kayak and Paddleboard Rentals come with Paddles and Life Jackets included. No kayaking or paddleboarding experience necessary.

Sit-On-Top Kayaks

Sit-On-Top kayaks are safe and stable for Grapevine Lake. This type of kayak is great for all skill levels. They are easy to in and out of. These kayaks are equipped with scupper holes which allow the water to flow in and flow out. The scupper holes help ensure that water will not swamp the kayak. Canoes and Sit-Inside kayaks can be swamped from waves. We do have sit-inside kayak rentals available for those who would like to go further distance.

Paddle Boards

We offer inflatable paddleboard (SUP) rentals which are a great choice for Grapevine Lake. These paddleboards are light-weight and can be carried easily. They are equipped with a main fin which allows the paddleboard to track well (go in a straight line). Learning how to perform a j-stroke paddling technique will allow you to only have to paddle on one side of the paddleboard to go straight line.

Our Location

We are located in the most scenic park on Grapevine Lake, which is Rockledge Park! All of the lake parks on Grapevine Lake are great, but Rockledge holds a special place in our heart. We hope to see you come out and visit and you will see why we cherish this place. Rockledge is best known for Paddlesports, Northshore Trail, Sunset Views, Fishing Spots, and direct lake access right out of your car! There is also a park store that sells food and drinks!
